Monday 05/20/2013 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm	Sage Stage Open Mic Calling all Spectators and Stage Performers! Spectators benefit from a quiet and intimate setting in which to discover their neighbors’ hidden (or not so hidden) talents. Performers benefit from a focused and intimate setting in which to share their work. Join host Robert Wright on the third Monday of every month for a free showcase of local entertainment.
Tuesday 05/28/2013 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm	Valley Voices: Local Foraging Join us on Tuesday, May 28th from 6:30-8:30pm for a community talk focused on local foraging. Local experts will show you how to identify wild and edible plants, provide you with illustrative handouts and point out medicinal properties. Gary Klepper, DC, (mushrooms) Alicia Michelsen, Wild Food Forager and Herbalist, and Linda Buckley, Wild-crafted Herbalist will talk about a few of their favorite local plants. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

Monday 06/10/2013 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm	Art in the Age of Anything Goes Colorado Mesa University instructor and local artist, Michael Mitchell, will lead a 5-part dialogue series on appreciating the visual experience of Art. The dialogues will include visual examples, and begin with a 45 minute dialogue followed by a 30-minute Q&A on five different topics.

Friday 06/28/2013 - 07/05/2013 All Day	Paint Paonia Paint Paonia is a plein air painting event held annually during Paonia’s Cherry Days 4th of July festival. Participants spend one day capturing Paonia and the surrounding areas on canvas. Cash awards of over $600 are awarded by our judge for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and the Paonia Chamber award for Best of Paonia. The works are then featured in a silent auction during Cherry Days festivities at the Blue Sage. This fun event promotes the diverse creative participation of our community, and true to the character of Paonia, celebrates traditional and non-traditional interpretations of “plein air” painting, allowing for three-dimensional and mixed-media artwork to be submitted.
Friday 07/26/2013 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm	The Spirit of Strings: Aspen Music Festival Join us for our summer concert with the Aspen Music Festival! AMF faculty member and cellist, Darrett Adkins, will return to the Blue Sage to join pianist, Susan Ellinger in a concert of works for cello and piano.
