Colorado Mesa University instructor and local artist, Michael Mitchell, will lead a 5-part dialogue series on appreciating the visual experience of Art.  The dialogues will include visual examples, and begin with a 45 minute dialogue followed by a 30-minute Q&A on five different topics, as follows:

• Feb 11:  “What Inspires Me” How contemporary and historic art influences the creative process
• Mar 11: “Design by Analysis” Exploring various proven frameworks of design in Art
• Apr 8: “Subject Matter” How artists decide what to paint
• May 5: “Colored by Emotion” How colors communicate emotion
• Jun 10: “Evolution, not Revolution” Exploring the creative process in Art
