    Join Phyllis on Thursday mornings at 8:30 for a gentle yoga work out. The practice of yoga allows us to dive more deeply into our own inner stillness. Kripalu Yoga, named for Swami Kripalvanandji, uses breath, inward focusing, and concentration to help the practitioner move by stages from willful postures to a surrendered “meditation in motion”.

    This is a beginner class so it's accessible from new guitar players up to owning a guitar for years only picking it up a few times every season, to folks who just want some better understanding of their instrument. The class will go over a few topics: chord structure, scales, strumming patterns, finger picking, flat picking, learning a couple songs, the CAGED system, and guitar maintenance. Please bring your own guitar, acoustic is preferred by students. A kapo will be needed later in the course, we will have a few provided.

    Gentle Therapeutic Movement: a class for those who may have challenges with knees or hips or with gereral flexibility. Some streteches will be done seated in chairs, or using chairs for support. Some will be done standing, seated, or lying down. But stretches WILL NOT REQUIRE any seated bent-knee positions. Some Feldenkrais exercises will be included. These help build awareness of habitual neuromuscular patterns and rigidities and expand options for new ways of moving.
