It’s that time of year again. The annual Harvest of Voices reading will be on September 21, 2017 at the Blue Sage Center for the Arts at 7:00 pm. Do you want to participate in this premier Blue Sage event? Do you want to read your prose or poetry in front a packed house and be live streamed to the Paradise Theatre? Here is your chance. Harvest of Voices submissions are now open.
Submissions of fiction, non-fiction, essays and poetry will be accepted from anyone living on the Western Slope of Colorado. Submissions will also be accepted from people who have lived or worked in the North Fork Valley previously and have a Western Colorado theme. There are no limits on subject matter, but please realize this is a mixed age audience, so overtly sexual themes and profanity are not appropriate to the event.
You can submit one prose piece and up to three poems. Not all poems may be chosen to read. Works should be original and able to be read in 6 MINUTES OR LESS. If your work exceeds this time limit, it will be disqualified. You will also need to be available to read the evening of September 21, 2017. The program will be recorded and broadcast across the street to the Paradise Theatre. If you have any issues with this, please do not submit. Submission deadline is August 24, 2017.
Submit your work online to firstname.lastname@example.org as a PDF file attached to the email. Please include your name and phone number on the entry. Do not use a pen name for either submission, or if you are chosen, to be used in the program. If your submission does not contain all the required information, it will be disqualified.
Last year was wonderful, this year can be amazing with your help. Send us something exceptional and we will provide you the stage. We look forward to reading your work.
