Overview

Information includes not only text and numbers, but images as well.   Adobe Photoshop is the industry-standard tool for digital imaging, which makes knowledge of Photoshop not only an invaluable tool for refining your business’ or organization’s visual story, but also a valuable commodity in the workplace.  This workshop will be taught by award winning cinematographer, Jordan Schevene, and focus on the basics of Photoshop for the purpose of modifying images for different end uses, such as the internet, print media and video.

Outline

The course outline will be tailored to the goals and skill levels of the individuals enrolled.  Topics covered will include:

  • Layers
  • Inserting Text
  • Graphic Text
  • Importing Images
  • Exporting Images for different purposes
  • Resizing and reshaping images
  • Overview of filters and effects
  • Image controls

Bring your laptop where possible, otherwise, if you have a specific project you would like to work on, but don’t have Photoshop on your laptop, bring your jump-drive with project files on it – instructor will share his computer with you.

About the Instructor

Jordan SchevenéJordan Schevene is an award winning cinematographer with over ten years of professional experience. He founded Boulder Productions in 2004 but now lives and works on the Western Slope of Colorado.  As owner of Schevene Films, Jordan handles the full spectrum of video production from scripting and planning, to editing and final delivery. As a cinematographer, web designer and artist, Jordan uses Photoshop in his professional life on a daily basis, and is excited to bring his practical understanding of the program into the classroom to make Photoshop accessible to anyone.

If you would rather pay in person, you can mail a check to P.O. Box 700, Paonia, CO 81428, drop your cash or check payment by the Blue Sage at 226 Grand Ave., Paonia. All payments must be received by the registration deadline.
