1 camera. 3 square miles. 19 hours. Do you have what it takes to capture the essence of Paonia? Find out by joining in the Picture Paonia Photography Contest on September 9, 2017.
Here’s how Picture Paonia works. On September 9th, 2017 photographers will have 19 hours to take indoor or outdoor photographs within a 1 mile radius of the Blue Sage. Three (3) photographs may be submitted. Photographers must certify that their photographs were taken on September 9th, 2017 by taking the camera/device to the Blue Sage and having the date and time stamp certified by 7 pm that day. Any photographs found to be taken on a different day will be immediately disqualified.
Participants then have 9 days to submit their best gallery ready photograph. Photographs must be printed and ready to hang. They can be framed or dry mounted but must have either a wire or saw tooth hanger on the back of the photo. All gallery ready entries must be received at the Blue Sage by 5 pm on September 18th to be hung in time for the Gallery Opening on September 21st the first day of Mountain Harvest Festival. The photos will be judged by a panel of judges, and the top three contestants will receive prizes donated from the Kampe Family Foundation. The cash prizes are:
Best of Show $250
Second Place $150
Third Place $100
People’s Choice $50
