Karen Fogg began her art career by putting herself through graduate school working as a biological illustrator. After several detours as a college instructor, field biologist, small town newspaper editor/reporter, and landscaper, she moved to Paonia in 1991 and dedicated herself to painting and gardening. She works in watercolor, pastels, acrylic, collage and is currently learning how to use oils. She has won many awards for her art, and her landscapes are displayed in many homes and several businesses in Colorado and California.
